Ag Career Days spotlights agricultural opportunities Ag Career Days aims to inspire students

Founded in 1948, the dairy and crop farm in northern Kewaunee County has grown to house about 8,000 cows and become a leading member of the region’s agricultural community.

So it’s fitting that the Kinnard family and their team of employees embraced the opportunity to plant seeds of interest in students’ minds regarding jobs in agriculture.

Kinnard Farms recently hosted Ag Career Days for the first time. The two-day event was co-sponsored by the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp. and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Participants included more than 600 seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders from Kewaunee, Algoma, Denmark, Luxemburg-Casco and Southern Door school districts.
